IBS Food Map Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 31, 2026
IBS Food Map is an informational wellness tracking app. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Users should consult a qualified healthcare professional before making medical decisions.
Data the app uses
- Meal notes, symptom notes, severity, tags, scan text, menu text, barcode text, and generated reports.
- Optional Apple Health context, only after system permission, such as recent steps, sleep, and mindful minutes.
- Purchase entitlement status from RevenueCat and the App Store account.
Where data is processed
Manual logs and history are stored on the device. When the user starts Premium AI analysis, the relevant text is sent to the IBS Food Map Cloudflare Worker and then to Replicate to generate the requested analysis. Photos are processed on device for OCR; the app sends recognized text, not the original image, for AI analysis.
Health data
Apple Health data is used only to provide context for the user's own symptom tracking. It is not used for advertising, marketing, third-party data mining, or sale. The app does not write false or fabricated data to Apple Health and does not store personal health information in iCloud.
Sharing
Data is shared only with service providers needed for app functionality, including Cloudflare, Replicate, RevenueCat, and Apple services. IBS Food Map does not sell personal data and does not track users across other companies' apps or websites.
User controls
- Apple Health access can be managed in iOS Settings.
- Logs and scans can be edited or deleted inside the app history.
- Subscriptions and trials are managed through the App Store account.
